Camille was born in the village of La Ciotat in the south of France, daughter of Joseph and Lucienne Turner. She lived with her family in London, England for several years before returning to France prior to World War II. During the war years, as a teenager, she was a volunteer courier for the French Resistance. After the war, she emigrated to northwestern Indiana as a war bride with her American husband.
She remained in Indiana for the majority of her life, raising three sons. Her lifelong passion was serving as an active member of the Whiting United Methodist Church. She was dedicated to helping others through all of her volunteer work in the community. She relocated to Louisville, Kentucky in 2006 after the death of her husband to live with one of her sons and his wife. She became a resident of Belmont Village in 2009.
Camille is survived by her sons Jack DuFrain (wife Carolyn), Michael Price (wife Donna), and Patrick Price (domestic partner Daniel Hartmann) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service to Celebrate Camille's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 14th, at Belmont Village, 4600 Bowling Blvd. Louisville, KY 40207. Expressions of sympathy are requested to your favorite charity.
