He was a native of Science Hill, Kentucky. Bronston was a beautiful, loving man who spent his life caring for and helping others. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He loved music and enjoyed tending to his many bird houses.
Bronk was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy “Dot” Marie Wright. Bronk and Dot married June 30, 1947, in Somerset, Kentucky, and moved to Louisville where they spent 64 years together until her death in 2011. She was the love of his life, and he was comforted knowing he was going home to be by her side again.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Irwin; granddaughter, Kristen Downs; granddaughter, Amanda Irwin; siblings, Jeannie Gaddis, Brenda Patrick, Charles Eldon Wright, and Vennis Wright; and several nieces and nephews.
Bronston was entombed privately at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road. His Celebration of Life service will be held June 1, 2024, guests are asked to arrive by 11:00 AM and military honors will take place at 11:30 AM. A luncheon will be held following military honors, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218.
