Bonita G. Dockery

Bonnie was born on December 21, 1954 in Glasgow, KY. Her family moved to the Shively area of Louisville in 1957. She graduated from Butler High School in 1972.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Barbara Polson.

Bonnie was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her devoted husband of 34 years, Richard Dockery; children, John Payne, Clinton Dockery (fiancée, Kristen Poole), and Amy Dockery; grandson, Devin Payne; brothers, Tom Polson and Joe Polson, and sisters, Lori Polson and Connie Lykins (Chris).

As she did in life, Bonnie will continue watching over her loved ones from her place in heaven. She will remain forever in our hearts.

A celebration of Bonnie’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218 with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Monday, July 29, 2013 from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. and after 11:00 a.m. the day of the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Crusade for Children.
