Dear Montgomery Family, How fortunate was I to get to know Bob and his lovely wife Libby. It breaks my heart to think he's left this world but he knows he was loved by so many people who are saddened by this sad time. A wise person once said, We are not remembered by how many people who we loved but by how many people who loved you.  Everyone who spent time with Bob knows he was a truly religious and caring man and will be missed by all. Let me know if there is anything I can do as I know the only words I know that will bring you peace is we all will miss and love him. There are just a few people who you can say made such a positive impact on your life. Bob was one of those people for me. I can not quote anything he said nor can I choose any one particular incident that made him that way. All I can say is that Bob was the most genuinely kind person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. 

He was the best Sunday School teacher I ever had. I remember that year fondly, we had many laughs on Sunday mornings, the day trip he took us on to a state park, and the monogrammed bible we gifted him at the end of that year so he wouldn't forget all of us wild young teens! (Well, we weren't too wild....yet!)

Libby, David, and Sherry, I would like to thank you for sharing him with me. I know how you are aching that he is no longer with you physically, just hold the memories of him close to your heart so they can be a comfort to you in the hard times ahead. Most of all I would like to thank you, Bob, for showing me how one person's kindness can have an effect on so many people that you encounter in your lifetime. I can only hope that I have shown the level of kindness to others as you showed me how, unknowingly and effortlessly, it can be achieved. 

When you see Dad, and I'm sure you will, tell him I miss him.

Mrs. Montgomery and family,

Your family is special to Camie and me.  The organizational lessons Mr. Montgomery taught me have been used by me and every youth minister that has ever worked with me.  I still remember my first youth committee meeting with him in my office.  He pointed to the black boards in the room and said, "I want you to write down everything you are doing on these boards.  So that every time you look up from your desk, you will see what you are suppose to be doing!"  Mrs. Montgomery, Dave and Sherry, Saundra, and John, I am glad the next time your family is reunited Mr. Montgomery he will have a lot to tell you all about heaven and being with Jesus!  Love ya! Libby and family,  my deepest sympathy to all of you.  I didn't know Bob for long but his sweetness and goodness shined like the sun.  
Libby, take care of yourself.  Bob couldn't have picked  a better partner.

Letting go in this life is hard to do and I'm sorry for your loss. Bob has a life in heaven. I know you know that. He was a good man and a wonderful neighbor. I miss seeing him.

I remember Bob many years ago when I share with him of my great grandfather's possessions. He love this and remember some of my great grandparent's relatives.  John and  Sherry, I will many times think of him and keep your prayers with me during this time.
