Thornton, Billye M., passed away on November 7, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Orie W. Thornton.
Billye was born June 2, 1922 in Friendship, Tennessee to the late William Ashley Lemons and Effie Lemons.
She is survived by four sons, Robert, William (Ruth), Thomas, and Jerry Thornton(Sherry); 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 12 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home Dignity Chapel, with entombment at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2 pm-8 pm at the funeral home.
