Beverly Ann Williams passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 22, 2024. She was born to Charles (Hans) and Juanita Krause on September 28, 1940 in Louisville, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy “Glyn” Williams and son, Mark “Steve” Williams and is survived by her daughters, Sharon Williams and Shannon Kluge (Kreg), a sister, Kathy Yurt (Joe), a brother, Charlie Krause, daughter-in-law, Jill Williams, grandchildren, Clayton “Mitch” Williams and Stacy Williams, great grandchildren, great-great grand-daughter, nieces and nephews.
Beverly graduated high school from Ursuline Academy and earned her degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. She worked in numerous administrative positions at the University of Louisville and retired in 2009. Beverly met her husband when they were just kids trading comic books and stayed with him until his last breath in December, 2004. During their marriage, they had three children and moved from Louisville to Illinois in 1972. In 1985, they moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana and came back home to Louisville in 1990.
Beverly was a voracious reader. She amassed her own library of mystery fiction. Some of her favorite authors were Steve Berry, James Rollins, Greg Iles, and even James Patterson. Beverly also built a substantial wardrobe of clothes and shoes, with over 300 pairs. She volunteered with AARP Tax Aide service, enjoyed attending art shows, and watching the flowers bloom and wildlife in her backyard.
