Betty Ellis Isaacs, 82 of Louisville passed away on Sunday morning, April 3, 2011. She was a member of Harvey Browne Presbyterian Church. Betty retired as a teaching assistant at the Temple Early Childhood Education Center, and the Chance Schools. She also worked at Dolfingers at their original location in St. Matthews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Zachary A. Taylor; and two sisters, Faye Ellis Dyke and Martha Ellis Murphy.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving family; her children Janet Hazell Klein, Pamela J. Thomas (Danny), Cynthia K. McLean (A.J.) and Jeffery B. Hardin; grandchildren, Harry "Max" Hazell, Stacey Dooley (Kevin), Bryan D. Thomas, Erin Bevins (Tom), and Allison Welby; great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Samantha Dooley and Lauren and Ryan Bevins; her loving friend, Terry Pinnick and a community of caring friends.
A service to celebrate the life of Betty will be conducted on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home at Westport Road. Interment will follow at Dutch Tract Cemetery, Pleasureville, KY. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday. In lieu of customary expressions of sympathy the family has requested contributions to Harvey Browne Presbyterian Church.
