Edwards, Betty,81, entered into rest on May 18, 2017.
She was a charter member with 62 years at Dover Chapel, where she was in the Missionary Society. Mrs. Edwards volunteered at the Kerrick Elementary School library and Shively Area Ministries. She was a talented seamstress.
She was preceded in rest by her husband, Charles; a sister, Jean Ford; and two brothers, Bob and Billy Sandefur.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by four children, Rick Edwards (Ruth); Esther Tyler (David), Ruth Whitaker (Richard) and Jamey Edwards (Tammy; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a sister Jonell Renfrow.
Her funeral will be on Monday at 12pm at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with interment following in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 2pm until 8pm.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to her church
