Betty was born in Holy cross, KY to her late parents William Ovelee and Mary Pearl Downs.
She was retired from General Electric and a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church.
Betty was preceded in death by her brother William Ovelee Downs Jr. and sister Mary Pitcock.
Left to cherish her memory are her sisters; Anna Clinard, Florence Hagan and Margaret Meredith, brothers Joseph L. Downs(Bernadine) and Pascal Downs (Rhudell), sister-in-law; Delores Downs, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to offer their deep appreciation to Hosparus CBS group, Dr. Huber, Dr. Masden and Dr. Pendergast for the care they gave Betty.
A Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 11am at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outerloop, Louisville, KY 40219 with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8pm at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home in Okolona. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus.
