Born in Louisville, Kentucky on May 4, 1933, Betty was the daughter of Paul Priddy & Alice Mattingly. At the age of 17, Betty met the love of her life, J.T. Carroll. They were married in New Albany, Indiana and shared 60 years of marriage. She was very family oriented, sharing her love throughout her family and to her fur – baby, Tiny. Betty was a retired secretary of the Service Bureau for Doctors. She loved to quilt, crochet & liked to work in ceramics & pottery. Although, she never liked to cook she was known for her “famous” biscuits and loved hamburgers. Betty was of the Catholic Faith and attended Saint Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church in New Hope, Kentucky.
Her parents, Paul & Alice Priddy; husband, J.T. Carroll; sister, Rose Evans; brother, Kenneth Priddy; great – grandson, Brian Chandler, precede Betty in her passing.
Left to cherish her unforgettable memory are her children, Connie (Michael) Vierling & Debbie (Elsa) Carroll; grandchildren, Douglas R. (Sharon Henry) Chandler & Traci (Robert) McBurney; great – grandchildren, Chelsea Chandler, Bethany Hahn, Arial Rogers, Simon McBurney & Robbie McBurney; great – great – grandchildren, Koda Lee Chandler, Addison Kay Keeling, Kensley Keeling & Paisley Keeling; sisters, Kathy Boling & Lois Shifflett; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Dignity Chapel of the Evergreen Funeral Home. Betty will be laid to rest in the Garden of Sanctuary Birds of the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums following services. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and then again on Monday, August 15, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service also at the Evergreen Funeral Home.
