She was a former elevator operator and worked as a homemaker military wife and mother. Later in life she was the Queen of her chapter of the Red Hat Society
Bette is survived by her three daughters Donna Owens (Rich), Cindy West (Jerry), and Judy Kaelin (Mark); 4 grandchildren, Stacy, Bryan, Mark Jr. (Megan), and Brittany (Chris); six great-grandchildren, Devin, Red, Abby, Ryan, Avery, and Carly; two great-great-grandchildren Sloane and Crew; siblings, Harold Davis, Ray Davis, Chuck Davis, and Carol Goertz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don Ward; and siblings, Wanda Griffin, Patsy Martin, and Jimmy Davis.
Visitation will be held from 11 AM – 12 PM, followed by a service at 12:00 PM on Monday, July 22, 2024 in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Burial will follow the service at 2:30 PM at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.
