Born in Jeffersonville, Indiana on Monday, May 20, 1946, to parents’ William Long & Mable Meeks. She was a beloved grandmother & was a “real” homemaker. She loved to sew and make quilts. She could often be found cooking or baking cupcakes and cookies or Banana Nut and Pumpkin bread.
Besides her parents, William Long and Mable Meeks; her husband, Ernest Lee “Ernie” Thomas precedes Barbara in her passing.
Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Anthony Karsner, Jacqueline Long and Emily Estrada; great – grandchildren, William Bivens, Jezelle Bivens, Arianna Estrada and Damien Estrada; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Services are private. Barbara will be laid to rest in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky.
