Born in Fayetteville, Tennessee, she was the proud daughter of Robert and Lois Ramsey.
Barbara Ann had a joyful heart throughout her life. Her warm spirit was irrepressible, her laugh wonderfully infectious and her tremendous blue eyes a testament to the beauty God created within her.
Barbara Ann was nurtured with incredible care throughout her life. Her mother lived 101 years primarily to assist Barbara Ann. They were side by side for seventy years.
Afterward, countless caregivers stepped up very willingly and selflessly at the three facilities where Barbara Ann resided until her passing.
Her family cannot express enough gratitude to the care personnel @ Hurstbourne Care Center, St. Matthews Care Center and Signature East Louisville. Barbara Ann said thank you through her hugs and her smile. To those who cared for her, this is why she hugged so tight.
Enormous gratitude from Barbara Ann’s family also goes to Jackie Horn, a resident who shared the room with Barbara Ann for the past five years. Only God could have placed these two together.
Only God could’ve known the joy they would bring to each other over the five years.
We all were incredibly inspired by their bond. It’s eternal now never to be forgotten.
Barbara Ann is survived by her brother Robert Clarence (Anita) and six nieces and nephews who’ve known her all through their lives. She is also survived by twelve great nieces and nephews, ten great great nieces and nephews and many extended relatives in Tennessee. She was predeceased by her father (Robert B), mother (Lois Imo) and brother James Maurice (Katherine).
Barbara Ann’s happiness is what we all wanted. She surpassed all expectations and we know Barbara Ann is tremendously happy now.
The funeral service will be held on November 18 @ 10:30 AM at the Chapel within Arch L. Heady @ Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218.
