Preceding her in death was her first husband, George Alex Mann; and her brothers, Thomas Spencer, Charles Edward and Harry Ray Smith.

Left cherishing her memory is her loving husband Chester Allen; daughter, Sarah Ruth Mann (Terry) Colvin ; son, Harry S. Mann; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jason) Provost, Terah (Craig) Johnson, James (Pamela) Colvin, 4 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary “Nick” Smith; cousins, Lester Fred Carr, Jr, Joan N. Carr Les Estep), Phillip Lesley Estep; step-children, Liz (Brian) Biggs, David (Carla) Allen, Mike Allen, Cathy Allen (Bob) Svatos, John (Debbie) Allen, Carl Allen, Linda Allen Ferguson; niece, Nikki Smith (Denny) Baileyand best friend Cindy Dicken and her son Riley Dicken.

Barbara graduated from Williamson High School in Williamson WV, and attended St. Joseph Hospital’s School of Radiology Technology and became a radiology technologist. She spent the majority of her working years at Suburban/Humana Hospital.

A Life Celebration will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from2-8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Shamrock Foundation.
