Audrey Tanner Cole ,91, died May 20, 2015, at Baptist East. She was a native of England and came to Louisville in 1948. A veteran of World War II, she served in the Women's Royal Naval Service (WRNS). Upon retirement from nursing, Audrey worked as a Red Cross volunteer at the V.A. Medical Center and at the East End Blood Center.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Marvin Tanner and Robert J. Cole Sr.
She is survived by a cousin in England, a sister in-law and several nephews and their families; as well as many dear friends.
Her arrangements were at the direction of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville. Services were private.
