Bud was a member of VFW Post #5710 in Shepherdsville and L & N Golf Club.
He was also a Kentucky Colonel.
Bud was an avid golfer with having 4 hole in ones in his lifetime.
Bud is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Newton, who passed on August 9, 2012; son, Vincent Stephen Newton; parents, Atlee and Eunice Newton; and 4 siblings.
He is survived by his children, David Newton (Donna), William Newton, Karen Newton (Michael), Denise Crowder (Ronnie), Susan Collins (P/Nut), Doug Newton (Robin), and Kim VanMeter (Joe); daughter-in-law, Karen L. Newton; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren;
Funeral service to honor the life of Bud will be 10am on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy, with entombment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 on Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Disabled Veterans of America.
