Arlie Gene Riggs

Riggs, Arlie Gene, 80, went to be with his Heavenly Father on May 1, 2017. Arlie was born in Hart County, KY (Upton). Arlie was a loving and caring man who had a strong love for God and his family. He was a long time member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and worked at Delmonico Foods for 41 years. Arlie coached little league for many years with both Camp Taylor and Black Mudd. He enjoyed bowling, watching the Braves play baseball and UofL play basketball, playing horse shoes and hunting with his hound dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elzie and Sarah Riggs; granddaughter, Andrea M. Riggs; grandson, Matthew Satterley; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.

Those left to cherish his memory include the love of his life, Frances, to whom he was married to for 60 years; children, Debbie Sanders, David Riggs (Patricia), Marsha Satterley, and Karen Johnson; grandchildren, Tabitha (Jim), Zachary, Kyle, Cory, Tyler, Bradley, Lauren, and Sean; great grandchildren, Justin, Krisitina, Aleeyah, Vincent, Autumn, and Arlie.

A Funeral Service will be Friday, May 5th, at 12:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00pm-8:00pm and Friday from 10:00am-12:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery following the service.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to either Bethlehem Baptist Church or Hosparus.
