Anthony "Tony" Thompson

He was the owner/operator of Slab Daddy’s BBQ, and previously worked at G.E. and the Fairdale Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter. Everyone loved Tony; he served his community by all of his tireless volunteer work for charities and Camp Quality for Kids.

Tony loved to ride his motorcycle; he was a member of the ‘Guns of Justice ‘motorcycle club and Kentucky Bourbon Softball team. His friends at New View Bar & Grill will miss him.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, William and Shirley Thompson; children: Christopher Belcher, Nicolle Staples-Thompson, Adam Thompson (Renee), Matt Staples; grandchildren: Gabriella Staples, Jocelyn Villatoro, Jacob Villatoro, Hunter S. Thompson, Eliana Thompson; brothers: Steve Thompson(Melanie), Jeff Thompson (Renee’), Roger Thompson (Joanie); and a host of many nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 10am in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy. Louisville, Kentucky, with burial to follow at Thompson, Copper, Smith Cemetery in Gest, Kentucky. Visitation will be Monday from 2-8pm at the funeral home.
