Anna “Louise” Brady entered her eternal resting place on Monday, April 15th, 2024. After living a longevity of 97 years, her Lord and Savior decided that it was time she join Him in heaven. She has reunited with her mother and father, three brothers, two sisters, and husband James P. Brady who preceded her in death.
Louise leaves behind an astounding legacy, full of lives that will forever be changed, after being graced with her endless love and compassion.
The lives of those that she leaves behind will forever be impacted in her absence. She leaves behind her brother, Leroy Boone; three children, Steve Brady (Lou), Debra Brady, and Jeff Brady (Susan). She also leaves gaps in the hearts of three grandchildren, Tracy, Todd, and Tricia, each of whom will forever try to prove that they were her favorite. She also blessed the lives of five great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and one God daughter.
During the 97 years that Louise was with us on this Earth, she curated a life that impacted every soul whose path she crossed. She worked as a school lunch lady at Wilkerson Elementary, volunteered at the American Red Cross, was a “Rosie the Riveter” during World War II, and was one of the earliest members of St. Clements/St. Peter the Apostle church.
Some of the things that brought Louise joy in life were attending Mass, meetings with her club at church, praying the Rosary, cooking/baking, Amish romance novels, and remaining active by walking at Meijer at least three days each week. She may or may not have loved gambling, I guess that depended on whether or not she was winning, but she always enjoyed her birthday trips to the casino, betting on the Derby and scratching off lottery tickets. But most of all, FAMILY. She absolutely loved spending time with her family.
She always made sure to make her loved ones feel cared about, whether it be in the form of yearly birthday cards in the mail, making sure that you received the Christmas candy that she specifically set aside for you, or just a phone call to check in.
To put it simply, to know Louise Brady was to love her.
Louise Brady loved so deeply, through actions both big and small. She left a beautiful legacy on this earth. Now that she has joined her heavenly father in resting with Him for eternity, it is the job of those surviving her to love others in the same way she loved them.
Visitation will be held from 12-8 pm on Thursday, April 18th, at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy. Her funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am Friday, April 19th, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5431 Johnsontown Road, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West
