In addition to her parents, Alice Halcomb and Hugh "Addis" Brackett, Ann is also preceded in death by her husband James Chowning, Jr.; and her siblings Cleo Hatfield, Gladys Fultz, Jack Brackett, Charles "Gus"
Brackett, and Rachel Stephens. Here to carry on her memory is her adoring husband of 45 years, Karl Lange; her daughter Julie Turner; siblings Robertine Hall and Alma Rumsey; her grandchildren Tara Hollandsworth (Josh), Shannon Bills (Brandy), and Elizabeth Scott (Justin); great-grandchildren Dylan (Lacie), Jake, Juliann, Simon, Heidi, Gavin, Kenzie, Greyson, and Colton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Ann loved to shop for antiques and play cards. She enjoyed cooking and dressing up nicely in her jewelry. She was known for her fancy and classy outfits. She hosted Derby, Indy 500, and Christmas parties every single year. Above all, her favorite thing was to spend time with her family.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, with a funeral service in Ann's honor beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
