Ann Allen

Ann Allen, 80, of Louisville passed away Tuesday at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 19,1932 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Rev. George and Cordia Walters Griffith. She was retired from the Jefferson County Public School System. Ann was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church, the Eastern Star Middletown Chapter #319 as Worthy Grand Matron and a member of the Red Hat Society.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Raymond C. Allen.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Debbie Alexander (Larry), Donna Klingman (Dan) and Denise Allen (Janice Blair); five grandchildren, Alicia, Daniel, Michelle, Denise and Joe; seven great-grandchildren, Izaiah, Olivia, Xavier, Trevor, Kyle, Ethan and Trenton; a sister, Jean Adkisson; and several close friends, Martha Basket and Becky Waldner.

The family would like to thank Hosparus and the staff of Care Tenders especially Bonnie and Michelle.

A celebration of her life will be conducted Thursday at Noon at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8 at the funeral home.
