Alma retired from Bacon's Department Store after many years of service.
Alma was a member of Melbourne Heights Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Gardner, who passed away in 2008; and 4 siblings.
Alma is survived by her children, Glenn Gardner (Cindy), Jimmy Gardner (Barbara Barker), Gwendolyn Cubine (John), and Becky Gardner; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-greatchildren.
Funeral service to honor the life of Alma will be 10am, Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Evergreen Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
