I only knew Nita for a short time, too short, but it was an honor to have known her.  She and Mr. House were the greatest couple ever and taught me so much about how one should live their lives.  It was a privilage to have worked for them. I have so many wonderful memories of just doing  everyday things. Everytime I see someone in the motorized grocery cart I think of Nita.  Teaching her to use one was SOOOO funny.

Aunt Dotty and Uncle Jerry, We are so sorry for your loss, We know you loved your mom dearly, and Aunt Dotty we love you too, we know this is so hard for you all. We went to the cemetary today , Katrina and I. We are thinking of you all and sending prayers your way. Your mom is at peace now. We love you

I feel honored to have had the chance to have known Nita.  Her love and wisdom will live on through her family and the many lives she touched myself included.  I truly cherished the history lessons learned while sitting outside their home on a warm summers day.  With respect and love.

 Jerry,I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom...I know how much your Mom loved you and you her. It's also a great loss for you too Dorothy... I know you thought alot of her and dearly loved your mother in law. She was such a thoughtful and loving person. I was just a little girl when you all married and was always included with Kevin, Robin and Vonda and I also called her Mammaw too. We can honor her love of life by remembering all the good times we each have shared with her through the years. She will be greatly missed. She use to tell me how she use to chase me down 38th street to nearly Broadway to keep me from running into the street.  She said she was my baby sitter at that time.  She was a lot of fun and raised a great family and had a wonderful marriage.  She will be missed by a lot of people.  She treated my wife Kate like one of the big family we came from. Mamaw house you will be greatly missed. You taught me many things about life and the right way to live, mainly by setting and example through how you lived yourself. I regret only being able to see you a few times a year but am reminded that I will see you again soon. I love you and will remember you daily.

Thank You Vonda for holding your cellphone to Mom's ears allowing me to tell her how much we love her.Hospice Nurse, Libby said she heard every word Mom, you never forgot anyones' birthday or anniversary. We will dwell on the great times we had together and will miss your daily phone calls. We will of think of you everyday for the rest of our lives. Your loving son, Jerry and Dorothy.
