November 10, 2024. Albert was born in Indiana on October 14, 1930. He was a jokester and loved taking care of horses, especially shoeing them. Albert loved to cook, volunteering much of his time in the kitchen at Frank’s Deli. He worked as a motorcycle police officer in Indiana and a truck driver.
Albert is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Martina Schmitt; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and loving friends.
No services will take place at this time. Albert will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in Albert’s name to the COPD Foundation or Archdiocese of Louisville.
