Nicholas (Nick) Michael Bixler, a vibrant and beloved soul, departed from this world far too soon at the tender age of 16. Surrounded by the love of his extensive family and numerous friends, Nick's memory will forever be cherished by those whose lives he touched.
From an early age, Nick's zest for life was evident. He embraced every opportunity to explore the world around him, trying his hand at various sports with enthusiasm and determination. He tried it all: soccer, baseball, football, basketball, snorkeling, motorbiking, knife throwing, fishing, axe throwing and even competitive swimming. He even claimed the coveted title of highest point producing swimmer in his first year in competition. Nick discovered his true passion for lacrosse, a sport that became not only his pastime but also a source of pride. The scars he bore from the game were badges of honor, symbols of the dedication and resilience he displayed on the field, #39 forever!
Yet, Nick's vibrant personality extended beyond the realm of sports. With his infectious sense of humor and a penchant for silliness, he had a remarkable ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him, and his genuine personality left a mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
In his free time, Nick found solace and adventure in the great outdoors. Whether he was riding his bicycle, and in his own words “feeling the wind in his hair”, exploring the rugged landscapes of the desert, mountains, or beach, he was always in pursuit of new treasures and experiences. His curiosity had no boundaries, and he approached life with an insatiable thirst for knowledge, eager to unravel the mysteries of the world.
Nick had a passion to travel, and especially loved to travel with loved ones. He explored the coastlines in Mexico, Bahamas, Virgin Islands, Canada, New England, and various other locations all over the United States.
He had a famous sweet tooth for all things sugar. Whether it was indulging in decadent Thanksgiving desserts or savoring his favorite candies or ice creams, he craved all of the sweet things that life could provide.
In the digital realm, Nick found companionship and camaraderie among his online friends, with whom he shared countless hours of laughter and connection. They formed a tight-knit community, united by their shared love of gaming and a very special friendship, creating their own band of brothers/sister (Brady, Mason, Adrian, Zack & Jasmine)
Nick's journey took him from the sun-drenched agriculture of Central California to the scorpions, and desert mountains of Las Vegas, and finally to his dream destination in Morro Bay, where he envisioned a life of beachside bliss. His love for the ocean was boundless, and he could often be found wandering along the sandy shores, marveling at the beauty of nature and the wonders of the sea, or even gasping at the sunsets calling everyone over to enjoy.
Though Nick's time on this earth was tragically brief, the impact he made during his 16 years will continue to resonate for a lifetime. His sparkling spirit, boundless energy, and unwavering kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Nicholas Michael Bixler may have left this world too soon, but his legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will endure forever. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing that he was cherished beyond measure and will never be forgotten.
