passed away peacefully on March 5, 2016, at her home in San Luis Obispo surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Larry Wolf
and by her parents, Capt. Kenneth Taylor, USN, and Margaret Field Taylor, and her sister Marilyn Taylor.
Nancy Jean Wolf is survived by her four children: Larry, Jr. and his wife Gail, of Nipomo;
Brian and his wife Kay, of Central Point, Oregon;
Marianne and her husband Chris, of Paso Robles,
and James and his wife Maureen, of San Luis Obispo.
She is survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who she loved dearly, and gave many handcrafted gifts.
She and Larry met on a blind date while attending the University of Southern California.
Nancy taught primary grade school for many decades in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles and Southern California.
After retirement, she was very active, volunteering at the library, the Art Center,
in gardens at various historic sites in San Luis Obispo, cooking meals for the Prado Day Center,
the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, and attending mass at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church.
She was probably the happiest at home, sharing good times with her family, tending her garden, and spoiling her cocker spaniels.
Family and friends are invited for a Mass on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 12:30pm, at the Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church, 221 Daly Street, San Luis Obispo, Calif., 93405. Followed by a graveside service and reception at the Los Osos Memorial Park, 2260 Los Osos Valley Road, Los Osos, Calif., 93402.
