Juanita Braden Brown was born in May,1928 in Cuyama Valley, California to Ezra and Mildred Braden. She was the fourth child of six siblings , passing October 28, 2024 at the age of 96 years.
Juanita became a caretaker of all at the age of 16 years when her Mother, Mildred, passed. She quit high school, got a job and began to care for her younger sisters, Patty and Millie.
She met Roger Brown at La Fiesta parade, married in February, 1948. They were married for 65 years until his death in 2013. During their many years together, they raised four children, and one grandson. They built a 30 year business of Christmas Trees sales, the Lamplighter Motel, and a successful home construction business.
Juanita loved the outdoors, fishing in Alaska with family and friends. Loved to deer hunt with Roger, and sons. She was a fabulous cook. Her home was always warm and welcoming. Everyone had a Christmas present under the Christmas tree. Not sure how she knew but she did. She cared for many family members and friends with the greatest of love and hope that all was well.
