Bonnie was born November 19, 1940, in Glendale, CA. She was the oldest of three children born to Betty and Francis Comino, raised in North Hollywood and Saugus. Bonnie passed away January 15, 2016. She had been a Ventura County resident for 40 years.
Bonnie was a nurse for 25 years. She loved her church, Life Way Baptist Church in Santa Paula, where she was a member for 20 years. She was a spiritual woman, who was always praying for others in needs. Bonnie found a lot of comfort while studying with her prayer group. She helped with her church when needed, by singing in the choir, teaching Sunday and Vacation Bible School for the children. Bonnie loved gardening and always had a vegetable garden. She enjoyed taking photos of nature, and finding treasures with her metal detector. Bonnie loved being a receptionist for her sister's art shows where she always greeted everyone with her great smile and love. She came to live with her sister in her last year of life while she battled cancer with such courage, strength, and kindness for all who were around her. The "joy of the Lord was her strength" and it was apparent to everyone she met.
Bonnie was predeceased by her husband, Donald R. Ostrander, her parents Betty and Francis Comino, her brother Timothy Comino and sister- in- law Joyce Comino.
She is survived by her sister Deb Festa (Ray); three nieces, Jennifer (Layne) Arnold, Janessa Comino, Stephanie (Justin) Buresh; nephew Isaiah Festa; grand niece and nephews, Ethan, Ryann, Jonah, Zachary, Andrew and Benjamin
