I met Philip in Fiji on a scuba dive trip in the late 80s. By chance, we landed on a second island and at the same resort so dived and dined together for the rest of the trip and became good friends.  He later moved to southern California to write and hang out.   We shared many a drink, BBQ and chat with our girl friends, from San Diego to Westwood.

I was surprised and saddened to read of his passing, we hadn't been in touch for a few years, I took a three year job out of town and later moved abroad.

Can anyone tell me the circumstances or reason for his death?

I have been emailing and calling Phil for a couple of months now. I googled to find out if someone might have passed away and I came to this website. My apprehension became true and I deeply hoped and wished it wouldnt. My sincere condolences to Phil's family and friends. I wish someone of you can get in touch with me. I didn't know at all that Phil wasn't well. Last time I saw Philip was at Christmas 2017 in Amsterdam on Christmas day. I am deeply sorry for this loss and I don't wanna believe it.
