I looked forward to Kate Mantilini, especially on most Sundays for years.  I enjoyed seeing what clothes and accessories that Marilyn was wearing and talking to Marilyn when she arrived.  She'd stop to ask what I ordered and often complimented something I was wearing.  Sometimes she'd comment why she put the dish I was eating on the menu. 

I observe two fashion suggestions that Marilyn made. One was to wear two similar dressy belts together. The other was to wear white tops because white lights up one's face.  I miss those Sundays.  

My condolences to Adam, David and the rest of the Lewis family.

You were an icon, Marilyn. A skyscraper amongst us: innovator, designer, raconteur, philanthropist, entrepreneur, wife, mother, but mostly, my friend. My love and prayers are with your family during this difficult time.

Dearest Marilyn, For so many years I considered you my mentor. I'll never forgot the countless hours spent with you. When you brought me to Beverly Hills Hotel for the showing of the Cardinale Line. Our lunches at the Gardens, and Sunday's at Kate's. You were a pioneer, a fiercely independent woman, a Los Angeles Icon, and you made everyone around you better. Love and miss you
