William E. “Buck” Bradshaw, 87, of Longview, TX passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2011 in Overton, TX. Mr. Bradshaw was born on June 10, 1924 in Honey Grove, Texas to Simon Lee and Alma Prickett Bradshaw.
He is a graduate of Roxton High School. He went on to serve his Country, joined the Army and fought in WWII. He married Wilma Cook on Dec. 19, 1948 in Longview, TX, she preceeded him in death on October 15, 2008. He retired from Gulf Oil Company where he worked as a tank repairman. He enjoyed spending time fishing and camping on Lake Cypress Springs.
He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law: Carl Bradshaw of Williamsburg, VA; Dean and Debra Bradshaw of Longview, TX; Dan and Karen Bradshaw of Maud, TX; grandchildren: Jason Bradshaw of Norfolk, VA; Krystal Bradshaw of Elizabeth City, NC; Karah Bradshaw of Maud, TX; sisters: Ruth Jones of South Haven, Miss; Mildred Bonner of Flatwoods, KY and a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceeded in death by his parents, his wife: Wilma Cook Bradshaw, Brother: Robert Wayne Bradshaw, and Sister: Ruby Cooper.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Lakeview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dennis J. Bragdon officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Lakeview Funeral Home.
