Ruth F. Biggers Wood

Ruth F. Wood, 59, of Longview, TX passed away November 30, 2015 at her home in Longview. She was born February 23, 1956 in Marshfield, MO to Marion and Christina Smith Biggers. She married James E. Wood on October 1, 1983 in Warsaw, Indiana. Mrs. Wood loved being a mother, caring for her children and enjoying watching them grow up, and as the kids were reaching adulthood, she and James moved to Longview to fulfill their calling to the ministry at Missionary TECH team.

She is survived by her husband, James of Longview; sons: Ben Wood and his wife Kim of Kilgore, Stephen Wood and his wife Alina of Olathe, Kansas; daughter: Christina Martin and her husband Matthew of Augusta, GA; grandchildren: Kinzey Rain and Reagen Storm; brothers: Sam Biggers and his wife Wanda of Springfield, MO, Jim Biggers and his wife Lillian of Nixa, MO, Paul Biggers and his wife Jean of Windsor, CO, Phil Biggers and his wife Renee of Lowell, AK, Mark Biggers and his wife Sara of Marshfield, MO, and Stephen Biggers and his wife Lynette of Marshfield, MO; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother-Dan Biggers, and one sister- Martha Biggers.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Oakland Heights Baptist Church, 1600 Judson Road, Longview, Texas under the direction of Lakeview Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Lakeview Funeral Home.
