Robert "Bobby" Smith, age 75 of Gladewater, Texas passed away on Friday, April 25, 2013. Bobby was born on March 6, 1938 in Tyler, Texas to Travis Ewing and Oletha Marie Smith. He married DeLois Rhea Armstrong on July 4, 1959 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Bobby was a Quality Control Insepctor for Tyler Pipe until his retirement. He loved collecting rocks and petrified wood, hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, DeLois Smith of Gladewater; daughters Lisa Johnson and her husband Michael of Longview, Niki Smith Oetken and her husband Carl of Houston; son William Travis Smith of Gladewater; grandson Blake Smith of Gladewater; sister Jeanie Marie Pickett of Corpus Christi, Texas and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the White Oak Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Funeral Home.
