Rick will live on in the memories made with the love of his life Lisa Denton of Kilgore, his bonus sons Justin Rowland (Allie) of Tampa, Florida and Zach Denton of McKinney, Texas, his sisters Suzette Rizzi (Joe) of Winston Salem, North Carolina and Cheri Covington (Paul) of Wylie, Texas, his uncle Mike Martin of Longview, Texas, and his bonus family Dennis Higgins of Odessa, Texas, Starla Bassett, and Crystal Williamson, both of Longview, Texas, and various nieces and nephews, and many great lifelong friends.
Rick lived in Longview for most of his life and attended Pine Tree High School. He was known for his infectious laughter, never meeting a stranger, and for being the absolute best at what he did—commercial and automotive window tint. His passions included fishing, golfing, kayaking, motorcycles, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends while creating unforgettable memories.
The family appreciates all the visits, calls, texts, lunch dates with buddies, and all the many prayers over the last several years, and each act of kindness was greatly appreciated. We could not have made this journey without the wise counsel and care of Dr. Rashad Khan from Texas Oncology. He was the most compassionate and caring doctor who Rick admired.
There will be a Celebration of Life service at the Texan Theater in Kilgore at 2 pm on Saturday, March 22, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Rick to ‘Keeping it Wild’ with the State Parks Division of Texas Parks & Wildlife: State Parks - Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation
