Patsy E. Turner

Patsy "Pat" was born November 16, 1936 in Franklin Collin County, Texas on a blackland cotton farm to Dewitt and Viola James.

At a very young age she learned to work hard and love harder, something both Dewitt and Viola instilled in all 8 of their children. At 18 years old on November 20, 1954 she married the love of her life, Kenneth Harold Turner. They were married 53 years before his passing. Pat was a lover of baking, gardening, sewing, shopping, visiting the lake, and afternoon coffee with her brother, Johnny. But most of all, Pat loved her family. Although she never had children of her own, she really enjoyed spoiling all her nieces and nephews as much as possible. If you knew Pat you always new where you stood with her. She was so kind and loving but could also throw a look that could cut through you if needed.

Pat was a member of Pirtle Methodist Church. In the past few years she was cared for by Traditions Home Health and they went above and beyond for her, as did her family.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Dewitt and Viola James; sister, Dorothy Turner; brother, Everette James; sister Carolyn James; nephew, Jason James; and the love of her life, Kenneth Harold Turner.

She is survived by her brothers and sisters, John and Eleanor James of Overton, Texas, Gayle Jones of Overton, Texas, Peggy Davis of Overton, Texas,Rickee and Carol James of Gunter, Texas, and many many nieces, nephews, and beloved family and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Lakeview Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior at 1:00pm
