Patricia Diane Cobb Chumley, 63, was born on October 10, 1957 to Mamie Irene and John Cobb and entered the gates of Heaven on October 14, 2020. She married the love of her life, Gerald Steven Chumley, on May 19, 1984 bringing together their four children, Nathan Washburn, Phillip (Ashley) Chumley, Amy (Richard) Welch, and Nicholas Washburn.
Diane was a 1976 graduate of Union Grove High School. She attended TSTC - Waco prior to moving to Waterbury, CT in 1996. She began her career with Wal-Mart in Shelton, CT in 1997. While in Connecticut she and her husband made many lifelong friends, they enjoyed traveling throughout the north east in an effort to locate all the waterfalls they could and loved experiencing the change of the seasons. In 2005 they returned home to Texas building their life in Cypress. Diane has worked in various Wal-Mart locations in the Houston area, gaining countless friends along with way.
Diane loved so many things this life had to offer, she loved gardening and canning, target shooting with her Uncle Dickie, traveling with her family, spending time on the beach, and playing games on her iPad or phone! She especially enjoyed all the special moments with her grandchildren, whether watching their games or just playing around the house, Nana was always their magnet to fun!
Diane had the most giving heart of anyone you’d ever meet. She always wanted to make others smile and laugh, which was easy for her with her infectious personality!
She is survived by her loving husband, their children and 10 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Elizabeth (Ken) Anderson, brother Bill (Debbi) Cobb, brother John (David) Cobb, Jr, and sister Donna (Gerry) Taylor, 13 nieces and nephews along with numerous great nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents John Hugh and Mamie Irene Cobb, brother Kenneth Dale Cobb (5) and grandparents Joe & Nanny Pierson and Azariah & Ruby Cobb.
