Logan attended schools in White Oak, Texas, during his education, graduating from White Oak High School in 1976. He followed his family's electric service business as an electrician helper in White Oak and Paris for his dad and uncles, Elbert and Billy Malone. He grew up with cousins in the Malone family of White Oak.
Logan purchased a piece of land which he developed and gardened during the remainder of his life near Gilmer where he resided for 20 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since birth and he was a member of the Elder's Quorum at one time.
He was preceded in death by his older brother, Stephen Ray Malone, and his mother, Mary. Logan is survived by his father Ray and his beloved stepmother, Janet Lea Malone of Hallsville, Texas.
He is survived by his brother, Jeffrey Malone of Paris and his sister, Mary Beth Connolly and husband Matt of Valiant, Oklahoma, and by his beloved brothers Chad Hammett and wife Deetra of Lumberton, Texas, and Craig Hammett of Carrollton, Texas. He has nieces Chloe and Brandon who are Craig's children. Brandon has a daughter Vivian, great niece of Logan. Chad's children are Devon Hammett and Hannah Hammett in college. He really loved his many pets and found great comfort in their company.
Logan left this life at his home in Gilmer on April 2, 2025, from an extended heart illness.

A memorial service will be held on April 26, 2025, at the Kelsey-Gilmer Memorial Cemetery, 6380 Magnolia Road Gilmer, Texas 75644
