Lewis was the life of the party. He loved to play dominoes and go dancing. Most of all, Lewis loved to fish, a hobby he picked up later in life. He loved to spend his mornings on the lake either by himself or with a friend and would stock multiple freezers with his catches. Family and friends will miss seeing him standing behind the fryer at the many fish-frys hosted for reunions, parties, or just because. Lewis was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and loved visiting with friends old and new at the Longview VFW.
The family would like to extend their eternal gratitude to Trina Curry for her excellent care of Lewis over the last few years.
Memorials in Lewis’s honor may be made to the Longview Chapter of the VFW.
A celebration of his life for Lewis will be held Monday, December 4, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Lakeview Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 5000 West Harrison Road, Longview, Texas 75604.
