Laney Smith, 93, of Longview, Texas, passed away on February 12, 2013 at a local hospital. Ms. Smith was born on December 16, 1919 in Atlanta, Texas to Hill and Minerva Johnson Heath.
She is survived by her sons: Joe L. Wallace of Linden, Texas and James Wallace and his wife Bessie of Lakeport; Daughter: Lenices Thomas of Atlanta, Texas; Eight Grandchildren and a lot of Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her second husband, Two grandchildren, two sisters, and three brothers.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home with Pastor Edward Noland officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the funeral home.
