Kay Lavoise Jordan

Kay Jordan was born on April 10, 1943 in Tyler, Texas to Artis Tate and Mary Alice Beavers. Kay attended John Tyler High School and afterwards attended Kilgore College Nursing School. She worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Kay married Hubert Leslie Jordan and they had three children together. Kay was an avid member of her church, Longview First Assembly of God, where she received special achievements for Assembly of God Mistry and Women’s Ministry Leader. Her interest and hobbies included gardening in her flower beds and shopping.

Kay was preceded in death by her mother Mary Alice Morgan and her father Artis Tate. She is survived by her husband of 64 years Hubert Jordan; daughters Sandra and husband Roger Reiner, Debbie and husband Mark Herrin; son Rev. Brant Jordan and wife JoAnne; siblings Lawrence Tate, Ron Tate, and Ollie Pack; grandchildren Ashley Melander and husband Dan, Matthew Herrin and wife Chelsea, Kasey Holt and husband Bill, and Kaleb Jordan; great-grandchildren Lylah Herrin, Maleah Herrin, Selah Herrin, Judah Butterfield, Payton Butterfield, and Liam Holt; and special friend Joy Childers and so many others.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday August 20th, 2023 at 2:00pm at Longview First Assembly of God. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pleasant Hills Children’s Home P.O. Box 1177 Fairfield, TX 75840 in memory of Kay Jordan
