LONGVIEW — Jack Douglas Anderson went to be with his Lord on Monday, November 12, 2012. Jack was born
on December 17, 1935, in Mineola, Texas, the fifth of eight children of Everett H. Anderson and Clara Cochran
Anderson. The family moved to Longview when Jack was very young. Jack went to Longview schools and graduated from Longview High School in 1954. He was retired from the U.S. Navy. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today, November 16,
2012, at Lakeview Funeral Home. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Left behind to mourn his loss are his wife of 55 years, Joan Summers Anderson of Longview; daughter, Brenda Anderson Horton and husband, Randy, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; son, Michael E. Anderson and wife, Mary Ellen, of Allen; grandchildren, Christopher Horton and wife, Jodi, of Kountze, Valerie Horton Russell of Longview, Brian Horton of Hurst and Mary Claire Anderson of Allen; great-grandchildren, Cole and Jake Horton of Kountze, Owen and Brodie Russell of Longview, Kamron Horton and Dillon Woods of Longview; brothers and sisters, James Anderson of Longview, Floyd Anderson and wife, Ellen, of Marshall, Myrtle McFarland and husband, Darwin, of Garland, Betty Wolfe and husband, Jo, of Garland and Mary Alice Plummer of Longview; sister-in-law, Lola Summers Vallandingham; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Sara Tippit and Patti Ballew.
There will be rejoicing in heaven, but he will be very much missed on earth.
