Horace Bud Edgar Cooper Jr

January 31, 1955 – July 25, 2014

Horace “Bud” Edgar Cooper, Jr. (59) went to be with the Lord on Friday, July, 25, 2014 in Longview, Texas surrounded by ones that loved him the most.

Bud was a long-time resident of Gilmer, Texas. He was born in Lake Providence, Louisiana on January 31, 1955 to Horace E. Cooper, Sr. and Donna Cooper. He enjoyed fishing. His favorite saying “Live to Fish, Forced to Work.”

He is preceded in death by his father, H. E. Cooper, Sr. and his niece, Amber Nicole Campbell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Marcie Cooper; his daughter, her husband and their son Amy Cooper LaGrone, Kade LaGrone, and Keith LaGrone; his son, his wife and their children, Clint Cooper, Tiffany Halliburton Cooper, Ryan and Logan Cooper; His mother, Donna Cooper; his sister and her husband, Lindy Clift and Danny Clift; and his brother, Monty Cooper; his sister, Lisa Campbell; brother-in-law, Robbie Campbell; his sister, Stacy Wilkins; brother in law and his wife, Royce Fenton and jeanette Fenton; brother in law Dennis Fenton; best friend, William Graham; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Services are under the direction of Lakeview Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home, Monday, July 28, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00 pm. The funeral will be at Lakeview Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 10:00 am with burial afterwards at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. There will be a luncheon at Heartland Baptist Church, 5760 FM 1845 in Longview, TX 75604, following the interment services.
