Gordon Boyd Green

Funeral services for Gordon Boyd Green will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, October 12, 2017, at Lakeview Funeral Home, with interment following in Kilgore City Cemetery. Mr. Green was born November 16, 1932, in Shreveport, LA, to R.I. (Duck) Green and Nellie Nicholson Green and passed away October 7, 2017 in Liberty, TX.

Mr. Green was a Corporal in the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War from 1949-1953. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Gordon worked in the oilfields of Liberty and Kilgore, TX as a truck driver and for a period of time he drove coast to coast.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Reginald Green, and W.L. Green, and a daughter, Carrie Denise Green. Mr. Green is survived by his daughter Debbie Noble and husband Jimmie Noble of Liberty, TX , four grandchildren Zachary Shoemaker, Jeremy Shoemaker, Jay Noble, Amber George, along with their spouses and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by a great friend that was like a son, Randy Pollard of Kilgore, TX, and a host of friends. A visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the funeral home.
