“Well done, my good and faithful servant. Enter into your reward.” These are the words heard by Elaine Clark on Dec. 19, 2105. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 40 years, Earl earlier this year, her mother, Louise Leroy by a few years, and her father, James Robertson, several years ago. She is survived by her son, James, friends that she considered family including Sharon Wolverton, Paul Jones, Ephrim Jeffry, and Chris Stow, as well as extended family including aunts, uncles, siblings, and nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Legend Oaks nursing home for the care provided for many years, as well as Compass Hospice group for providing comfort at the end.
The family takes comfort that Elaine is at peace and no longer suffering, and will celebrate her life privately. Anyone considering flowers is asked to instead make a donation to a local animal care and support group, Legend Oaks nursing home in Gladewater, Compass Hospice or the Hwy 80 Rescue Mission.
