Dorothy June Evans

Dorothy June Evans, 96, of Longview, passed away January 26, 2016 at a nursing home in Longview, Texas. She was born November 5, 1919 in Fairfield, Illinois to John Kenneth and Lindell Whitson Armstrong. She was united in marriage to John Vernon Evans on December 25, 1938 in Flora, Illinois. Dorothy loved The Lord and her family and friends. She is survived by her children: Lynn Cox, Dana Williams, Nan Graves and Mark Evans; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Jean Tullett, her husband John Evans and granddaughter Cathy Cox Ulrich.

A time of visitation with the family will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2016 at Lakeview Funeral Home, with funeral services to be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home with Chaplain Rick Webb officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
