Barbara Waits passed into her eternal resting place on September 29, 2024. She lived a full and active life. Barbara loved the Lord and it showed by the way she lived her life.
Some personal passions of Barbara included her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. She enjoyed going to all of their different sporting events and programs over the years. Barbara also deeply loved her church family. Whether it was with Sunday School friends or lifelong school friends, Barbara loved hosting gatherings in her sunroom.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, James Sr. Survivors include her children, Vicki (Bud) Zahn, James Jr. “Chip” Waits, Kimberly Alexander; grandchildren Casey (Tracy) Zahn, Brad Zahn, Missy (Anthony) McElroy, Lauren Alexander, “adopted granddaughter” Jody, who was also her caregiver; great grandchildren Cheyenne (Conner) Ragsdale, Cody Zahn, Brody and Ben McElroy.
A private service will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Lakeview Funeral Home.
