Ginny was born to Rita and John Belasco on September 17, 1934 in Boston, Massachusetts. As a child, Ginny excelled in school and enjoyed many activities including swimming, ice skating, cheerleading, singing, art, and fashion design.
Ginny met her husband, Frank Flynn, in 1955 in Denver, Colorado while visiting her father. They married in January 1956 and went on to have three children, Bernadette Smith (spouse William Smith, children Xavier and Nelson Smith), Denise Linn (spouse Steve Linn), and Frank Flynn. The family moved many times through Air Force relocations and eventually settled in Rochester, New York in 1967. After her divorce in 1975, Ginny eventually moved to California, Rhode Island, and then Colorado to live near her children. She remained in Longmont, Colorado for 28 years until her passing.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Ginny valued her work as a recreation therapist in retirement and nursing homes and proudly became ordained when 67 years old. She had a profound love and faith for the Lord, boldly sharing the gospel and displaying compassion and encouragement to many. Ginny authored the book Mighty through God at 81 years old, a testament to her faith, and wrote numerous Christian songs. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Ginny was an exceptional singer and an avid swimmer throughout her life. She especially appreciated time relaxing on the beach and eating seafood!
Ginny joins Nanna and Grandpa Quilty, father, mother, Uncle Bernie, Uncle Glenn, Uncle Larry, Aunt Eleanor, Aunt Marguerite, sister Gina Troy, and sister-in-law Judy Belasco in Heaven.
