Wayne Joseph Tibbits Sr.

Wayne Tibbits, of Carbon Valley, passed away at his home on December 2, 2020. He was born in Topeka, Kansas, on April 14, 1947, to the late Kenneth Tibbits and Naomi (Lang) Tibbits. He is preceded in death by his wife Ramona (Wigent) Tibbits.

Wayne was in the Navy and was proud to have served. He loved to play cards, watch Nascar and football, and spend time with his friends and family. He spent most of his working years in the electrical industry and retired in 2011.

He leaves behind his children Christina (Joel) Clark, Tisha (Brian) Alps, Joey (Rachel) Tibbits, and Heather (Cary) Cornelison; his Siblings Dixie Dreasher, Duane Tibbits Sr., Kenneth Tibbits, and Lydia Vorhies: as well as his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 3:00pm on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at New Horizons Church, 701 Carbondale Dr, Dacono, CO 80514. A reception will follow at 4:30 pm at The American Legion Post 1985, 870 1st Street, Firestone, CO 80520.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Legion Post 1985.
