Wayne Rowland Herman

Wayne Rowland Herman was born on April 12, 1936 in Akron, OH and passed away on December 27, 2019 in Longmont, CO after a long illness. Wayne served nine years in the United States Air Force, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. While stationed in Denver, CO, he married Audrey Knox Herman in Hot Sulphur Springs, CO on January 19, 1957. After leaving the service, he returned to Colorado where he worked as a graphic artist at IBM for 25 years. He also received his degree from the Rocky Mountain School of Art (now RMCAD).

In addition to his wife, Audrey, Wayne is survived by his two sons, Larry (Terry) Herman of Longmont, CO and Greg (Carla) Herman of Highlands Ranch, CO; Grandchildren, Brett Herman of West Hills, CA, Sean (Becki) of Denver, CO and Kyla (Aaren) LeMieux of Frederick, CO and four great grandchildren. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence “John” and Abigail Herman; brother, Larry Herman; sister, Caroline Schneider, and grandson. Justin Herman.

As Wayne requested, there will be no funeral services, but a family memorial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Longmont Humane Society.
