Virginia was born in Yuma, Arizona on December 6, 1939, to Virgil Howard Robbins and Annie Lou Ray. She graduated from Yuma Union High School with the Class of 1957 and married her husband, Willis Ray Bryant on April 10, 1963. In 1964, Virginia and Willis moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, where Virginia worked as an assistant manager for the Murphy C & C Company, before adopting two children, Linda Rae and Robert Dean “Bobby” Bryant, and becoming a homemaker.
After Willis retired from Ford Motor Company, the couple returned to Yuma to care for Virginia’s elderly parents. After Willis was taken by cancer in 1999, Virginia moved to Colorado to live with her son, Bobby, in 2014. Virginia was an avid reader. She enjoyed hand painting wood-crafts, playing board games, shopping for southwestern art and jewelry, and spending time with her grandson. She is survived by her children, Linda Rae and Bobby Bryant, her grandson, Logan Jayce Bryant, her sister-in-law, Sandra Robbins, and her half-brother, Harold “Buddy” Ray.
Virginia will be laid to rest with her late husband in Yuma. Services are pending. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ahlbergfuneralchapel.com.
